I collect Maya and other ancient American artifact replicas, especially those related to Book of Mormon archaeology, and have created this blogspot to show off some of my collection. I hope my collection may give pleasure to more than myself through sharing. I have also traveled a number of times to the ancient ruins of the Maya Civilization, and will share some of my experiences and insights on this blog, as well as some articles that I have written for publication elsewhere.

My friend, Jody Livingston, has a great Book of Mormon blog called "IN THE CAVITY OF A ROCK" at http://inthecavityofarock.blogspot.com/2011/05/were-multiple-races-depicted-in-ancient.html
I recommend that you check it out and follow it. He's a great young man involved in The Book of Mormon Forum (BMAF) and he has posted some really interesting information.

Maybe you remember that I promised to post a photo of my finished macana or macuahuitl. Well, here it is - I hope you like it. It weighs about the same as my replica of King Solomon's sword shown with it below (which is probably similar in design to the sword of Laban), so I am sure it was a formidable weapon.

That makes four posts in September. I'm working on some new ones, but October is going by fast!
